Using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

We will configure MECM to deploy the latest security patch for Windows, Exchange, SQL, and Office as well as many other Microsoft products. To get started with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, we will setup the environment with a minimum of three servers. One server to download and manages Windows updates, one server for MECM and all its components, and a database server. Depending on your environment, MECM and its component might need to be split up to multiple servers to provide greater performance.

At a minimum, we will setup MECM to deploy software and security patches, centralizing your Windows management in one easy to use console. MECM also provide reporting features as well as inventories Windows machines. With configuration manager client installed and reporting to MECM, IT staff can review installed hardware and software as well as list machine configuration.

Baseline settings can be configured to bring all or selective Windows machines into a compliance.
